Reasons for coating problems of aluminum trim coil

Coating is a key process in coating of aluminum trim coil rolls, and it directly influences decorative effect of a roll. Thus it’s important to learn common problems and relative reasons for it.

The first reason might be raw materials. The problems with paints include batch difference, big particles, low coating rate, awkward solution state, and those with aluminum trim coil rolls include uneven edges, uneven film thickness and so on.

The second problem might be production equipment for the aluminum trim coil. The coating line of the equipment should be in a good condition with stable operation, and the coating roller must have a fine grinding. All the rollers of the coating machine will jump laterally and must be controlled within the allowable range, otherwise the surface quality of the coating will be seriously affected.

The third problem might be process. The coating process is closely related to the quality of the coating, and it is required to control the relative line speed ratio of the coating roller, the paint roller, the metering roller and the substrate within a certain range. According to the different system and the film thickness of the coated product, a certain viscosity range is set for the coating to ensure smooth coating and promote the improvement of product quality. The curing process of the coating, oven control must be controlled according to requirements, and must not be arbitrarily changed, otherwise it will seriously affect the color difference and performance of the color coated aluminum coil.

The fourth possible reason is environment. The painting room must be clean without dust, insects and certain ventilation, so that the surface quality of the coating will not be polluted. At the same time, the process conditions are changed in time due to temperature changes.

The last reason includes the operator’s responsibility, technical proficiency and operational level, which are the key to quality of aluminum trim coil rolls. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the training of operators and let the operators grasp the principles and points of painting technology, strengthen the responsibility, and strictly operate according to the operating procedures to ensure high-quality coated products.
